About this range

The Orion is upholstered front and back rather than meshed, which is a warmer thing to have in a reception or a consulting room where the chair is part of how the space looks. Mesh reads technical; a fabric back reads furnished. In an admin office or behind a shared desk that difference is worth more than the specification sheet suggests.

The back is plywood with automotive grade medium density foam, softer than the seat by design, and the seat is plywood with automotive grade high density foam so it holds up under the traffic a shared desk gets. The visitor version is a matt black powder coated cantilever sleigh in 25 mm cold rolled steel with a 2.5 mm wall and comes with a Flexi armrest fitted.

It is made as a highback, a midback and a visitor chair, and it is priced to be bought in numbers, which is usually how reception, admin and hot desks get furnished at the same time. Armrests, base, castors and mechanism are chosen on this page, and the frame can be chromed. Any fabric in our library covers it. Made to order in South Africa in two to three weeks, delivered and installed in Cape Town with a five year guarantee.
