About this range

The Astra is the chair we specify most often, and the reason is the frame. It is the only task chair in our range built in grey as well as black, so it can sit under a pale bench system without the usual compromise of painting an entire floor black because that is what the catalogue offered. On sixty desks that one choice is the difference between furniture that was chosen and furniture that arrived.

The chair underneath the choice is a proper one. Injection moulded nylon back with adjustable lumbar support, a supportive mesh weave rather than a slack one, and a plywood seat with automotive grade high density foam. Components are BIFMA certified. Black is made as a highback, a midback and a sleigh frame visitor chair on 25 mm cold rolled steel with a 2.5 mm wall; grey is made as a highback and a midback.

You set the armrests, the base, the castors and the mechanism here, and the frame can be chromed. The seat takes any fabric in our library, priced in bands, so a reception run and an accounts row can share a chair and not a colour.
