About this range

The Aegis is the chair we put in front of most open plan teams, and it earns that by being unremarkable in the right ways. The back is injection moulded nylon carrying a mesh panel, with a lumbar support that slides up and down to meet the small of your own back rather than an average one. The seat is plywood under automotive grade high density foam, which is the part that decides whether a chair is still comfortable in month six or has flattened into a board.

It is made as a highback, a midback and a visitor chair, and the three are recognisably the same chair. That matters when you are furnishing a floor: the manager gets the full height back, the bench runs get the midback so a row of them does not wall the room off, and the two chairs on the other side of the desk sit on a matt black powder coated cantilever sleigh frame in 25 mm cold rolled steel with a 2.5 mm wall. The visitor comes with a one dimensional armrest already fitted.

Armrests, base, castors and mechanism are all yours to choose on this page, and the frame can be chromed where the fit out asks for it. Components are BIFMA certified. Any fabric in our library covers the seat, priced in bands. We build it to order in South Africa, usually two to three weeks, then deliver and install it ourselves in Cape Town and guarantee it for five years.
