About this range

The Lear is the traditional executive chair, and the stitched, padded back is the whole of it. In an office with timber, carpet and a bookcase, a mesh chair looks like it wandered in from another building; this one does not.

The back is plywood with medium density foam and the seat is plywood with automotive grade high density foam, softer above and firmer below, which is how a padded chair stays comfortable rather than sinking. The visitor sits on a matt black powder coated cantilever sleigh in 25 mm cold rolled steel with a 2.5 mm wall, and the frame can be chromed to a mirror finish.

Highback, a mesh back version and a visitor chair. Armrests, base, castors and mechanism are all chosen here. It takes the leather band as well as the fabrics, which on a traditional executive chair is usually the point. Made to order in South Africa, delivered and installed in Cape Town.
