About this range
The 1st Class is the chair for the end of a boardroom table and the desk in the corner office, and the reason it reads as expensive from across the room is the chrome. The back frame is mirror chrome powder coated steel tube, not painted steel, and it holds a mesh panel over a 12 mm foam membrane so the back has give without looking padded.
The seat is plywood under automotive grade high density foam, which is the specification that decides whether a chair is still comfortable after a three hour board meeting. Components are BIFMA certified. It is made as a highback, a midback and a visitor chair on a mirror chrome cantilever sleigh in 25 mm cold rolled steel with a 2.5 mm wall, so the two chairs across the desk belong to the same set.
It comes in a standard and a black edition, which changes the trim rather than the chair. Castors, the fabric band and arm sleeves are chosen here, and any fabric in our library covers it. Made to order in South Africa, delivered and installed in Cape Town, five year guarantee.
