About this range
The Soho is a typist chair, which is a specific thing rather than a small task chair. The mechanism has an infinite lock: the back tilts and holds at any angle you stop it at, and it also moves up and down independently, while the seat stays level. That combination suits anyone working close to a desk edge for long stretches, and it suits people who are not tall enough for a standard chair to reach their lower back.
It is the most compact chair in our range, which is the other reason it gets specified. Where a desk is 1200 mm or a room has to seat more people than it comfortably should, a full task chair with arms out fights the furniture. The back is plywood with automotive grade medium density foam, the seat is plywood with automotive grade high density foam, it runs on a class 4 pneumatic gas cylinder rated to 150 kg, and the components are BIFMA certified.
Highback and midback versions are made. Armrests are chosen here, and a draughtsman gas lift is available for anyone working at a raised bench or a counter. Any fabric in the library covers it, priced in bands. Made to order in South Africa, typically two to three weeks, delivered and installed by us in Cape Town, five year guarantee.
